Love this book!
This author does an excellent job of combining healthy eating with God’s plan for food as a source of nourishment. I love it and led a small group using it. After 9 weeks 4 of us have lost a total of 70 lbs.
Dione Niver –
So great lay out
Helps realize today’s processed food is what makes people heavy and sick

Standard style devotional
Lite devotions that help remind you to stick to your healthy lifestyle. Nothing that digs deep into the word. More a a feel-good short read to check your “I read my devotion” box.

Motivational, exactly what I needed
I have passed the half way point of this book. It has been so helpful for me. She has expressed exactly some of the thoughts I have had about food addiction, trigger foods, and my desire to learn to eat the best way for the body that God gifted to me. This book has helped me to develop a new freedom in my eating and in saying no to certain foods, no matter what other people may think or say about my choices. What matters is my desire to obey God with the food choices I make each day. Thank you, Cathy Morenzie!!

This Book Has Made a Big Difference
I can’t tell you how many diet, eating, food, healthy lifestyle books I have read. This one is the first to have made a BIG difference. You read (and write a little) just one day at a time – (good idea!) I didn’t know what to expect, but it delivered guidance and insight. It helped me “get off the merry-go-round of diet after diet, and learn some impulse control, self-discipline, and how to care for myself Much Better than I ever have. The result has been reaching my weight loss goals and learning how to live with new behaviours.

Very pertinent!!
I could relate to the author as her comments sound just like me and my struggles with food. Her suggestions are very helpful and ones I can implement.

I just completed this devotional and I found it to be informative, inspirational and effective. The last chapter is called Fasting for Breakthough and we’re told the benefits of fasting are based on scientific research and gives a reference for the reader to “See all the research studies on the benefits of fasting”. Sadly, this chapter is extremely misleading. The studies referenced were on – “one study of 10 people”; “one small, three week study”; “one study of 50 people”; “an animal study”; “some research”; “a small study”; “limited to animal research”; “research limited to animal studies”. All if the stated benefits are prefaced with MAY or COULD show these benefits. My conclusion is the information provided in this last chapter are NOT based on science. There are no long-term studies cited and no definitive conclusions.
