Nice little speaker. Now don’t expect a 1000 watt ultra high end sound system. This is a small portable speaker that is pleasantly easy to operate and a joy to listen to. While the sound is not that powerful, it is highly functional for most people. The sound quality is good, clear, and easily adjustable. Again this is not a home sound system. But if you are like me, work in an office, go on walks, or just like to listen to music by yourself outside, then you will be pleased with this speaker. By the way, I have about twenty Bluetooth speakers and I use this one almost every day because of its portability.

The TPone Waterproof Wearable Bluetooth Speaker worked great with my Android phone. OK sound for a small speaker. Controls worked on the Android volume, next song and all that.But when I tried to use it with a BT adapter to play from device with no BT, it took a long time to pair and didn’t re-pair easily either. Once connected, it was extremely distorted a lot of the time. I tried various combinations of volume on the device, the BT adapter, and the speaker and none would clear it. Restarting and re-pairing took more than one song length, and then it worked fine. But when a louder song came on, it got distorted again. I think it needs to be connected to an intelligent device like a computer or phone to work properly.Line in didn’t recognize the first time I tried it with a computer. There are few instructions about using this without bluetooth. Then I plugged it into a different device and when I turned the speaker on it said Line one instead of Bluetooth. After that it was working OK. Usable as a speaker on an old laptop with a really lousy speaker.I like the magnetic and clip mount options.I like the look and feel of the speaker.So, it has its uses and seems OK for simply listening to your phone while jogging, assuming your phone doesn’t have good speakers. Perhaps clipped to a helmet in a noisy area would be useful.Mixed recommendation.Not worth $89, but I see there is a 50% coupon right now. OK.

I ordered the rechargeable, waterproof, wearable Bluetooth speaker by TPone.This product is basically a palm-sized, personal Bluetooth speaker. The Pause/Play button can pause music to answer a call when the connected Android phone rings. The Previous, Next, Volume Up, Volume Down buttons work as expected for an Android accessory. When a call is not incoming, none of the buttons can initiate a call nor invoke Google Assistant, which more sophisticated Bluetooth devices can do. Also, when connected to a PC rather than a phone, Previous, Next, Pause/Play do nothing. In short, the button control on this device is very basic.The loudness and quality of sound is good for a small, lightweight speaker. It just edges out the sound from premium LG and Honor phones. The single speaker is fine for phone calls, and satisfactory for music when out in the garden or walking around the house. Of course, if you take a call in public, other people can hear the conversation, but you can turn the volume down or turn off the speaker at your discretion. Because the speaker is small, the fullness of the sound diminishes quickly with distance. So this is a personal speaker, best kept less than a metre away if sound quality matters.I clamp the spring clip on the back of the speaker to my shirt, at the neck opening off to the side. With the speaker on my shoulder close to my ear, I can hear notifications, listen to music, or answer a call. The shoulder location is an improvement over a pant pocket or waist bag where sound can be heavily muffled.The speaker has yellow rectangles with ridges on two sides. They are not push-to-talk buttons: the buttons do not depress and merely add grip. The product resembles a hand mic used by first responders. However, the buttons are relatively small and hard to press when wearing work gloves or winter gloves.The device comes with a 3.5mm 3-pole stereo cable that can plug into a phone. In this mode, Bluetooth is deactivated so the device works strictly as a powered, amplified speaker. Again, the sound is optimal when you are less than a metre away. Attach the speaker to your clothes or place it right in front of yourself on a table for music listening.The lights on the buttons fade every 8 seconds to alternate between red, green, and blue. The device produces a bell sound when connected to Bluetooth, but provides no other indication of status. This means it could disconnect from Bluetooth and you will not know unless you check your phone screen or use a phone function that generates audio. Similarly, no lights or sounds indicate remaining power level. While the button lights change slowly all the time, they do not tell you when the battery will run out.This product has issues with tininess restricting gloved hands, no call initiation capability, and a lack of indicators for connectivity and remaining battery level. As a result, I would not rely on this product in critical outdoor situations. However, the product performs well as a casual, personal speaker with a phone nearby to periodically check status.

During spring, summer, and fall, I spend much of my time outside working in the yard. I often place a Bluetooth speaker in our sunporch so that I can have music to listen to although I’m not sure that my neighbours always approve. A small, personal Bluetooth speaker is exactly what I needed! This unit is a study in simplicity. Rugged, waterproof, dust proof, and light, it has exactly five buttons serving as controls, one for on/off, play and pause, two for volume, and two for skipping forward and back on a playlist. The buttons are easy to access and responsive. Best of all, the unit has a nice clip which makes it easy to carry on a belt, pocket, or strap. The device also features a magnet on the clip, it’s very handy when working in my garage where there are lots of metal surfaces easily available. While it is not something I would generally use, the unit functions very well as a hands free phone device; calls are easy to accept, reception is good, and everyone has been able to hear me easily. The unit has plenty of volume and the sound is clear although my wife and I both agree that at higher volumes things may sound a bit tinny. It should be noted that the controls of the device are backlit with coloured lights during play back, a handy feature if you are listening to music in the dark. I usually charge our unit for about three hours in the evening; the resulting charge lasts the following work day (the product page indicates a run time of 12 hours).The speaker comes nicely packaged in a nice gift box which, besides the speaker itself, includes an arm band, the necessary USB-C charging cable, a 3.5mm male to male audio cable, and instructions.This speaker is ideal for me! Waterproof and shock resistant, it spends its days on my belt or on my arm as I work in the garden or garage; it delivers music when I want it and can step in for my phone if conditions warrant it. At its current price of $45 CAD (with coupon) this speaker offers excellent performance at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
