So enjoyed receiving this book. it is full of great information and easy to follow.

    My first wearable wave jacket
This was the second Wearable Waves book I have purchased. I bought the first one from the author after hearing her speak at my quilt guild meeting. I made a jacket for my sister and told her I’d get her the book if she liked it and wanted to try making one (or more). Her knitting group all liked the jacket so she figured she’d have a chance to make some for plenty of people. She liked the book though she said it seemed difficult and might have to come visit me to get help. That sounded like a great idea. I hope she does since we live about 1000 miles apart! The picture is me in the Wearable Wave Jacket that I sent to my sister. I’m anxious to make myself one now.

Look at it in a store first
While the book is okay, if I had looked through it in a quilt shop, I wouldn’t have purchased it. Just my personal take.

  4. Evangelia

    A hands on approach!
It is concise and fully explanatory! Nice ideas well presented with lots of pictures.

A Refreshing Approach to Quilted Jackets
This book presents an interesting approach to the by now familiar sweatshirt-based quilted jacket. If you make one of these, you will definitely not feel like you are “wearing a quilt”! Eckmeier’s directions are clear and concise, her photos are very very good, and the steps involved in making the jacket are easily understood after a single read-through. Even choosing your colors is made easy for you with her clear instructions and good examples. This is a really great book if you love to make quilted jackets!

The new best book for wearable art.
This book is awesome. I took it to a four day quilting retreat and a least 5 people wanted to order it. It wasThe most wanted item at the retreat, most of these people were serious quilters and were willing to try wearableArt for the first time. Thank you ms. Eckmeier! We are waiting for your next book,!,,

    Good Start for Beginners
I met Karen Eckmeier when she visited our quilt guild and decided to purchase this book after seeing her designs. My experience with jackets was non-existent until now. The book is easy to follow and has some great looking jackets. I would definitely recommend this book!

Not worked through this book. It will be used over this summer for a project with City and Guilds. I like the fact that you do not need to be a dress,Alex to make these jackets..
